Harley Scherer is an unusual young man, and we mean that as a compliment.
When Harley was 12 years old, he wanted to restore an old car and asked his parents where he could find a job. At 12, Harley had already found a passion and had started finding ways to pursue that passion, an unusual tact for someone so young.
There was only one problem. Harley wasn't old enough to get a job. Most boys that age would have shrugged off the idea of restoring that old car and moved on to other usual things. Not Harley. He decided to become a self-employed auto detailer.
He made his own business cards and signs. With his unusual entrepreneurial spirit, he started Scherer Auto Detailing of Benton. Three years later, the 15-year-old has bought a 1984 Nissan 300 ZX, a drum set, a welder, an air compressor and tools that will be instrumental in rebuilding the old muscle car.
Good for you, Harley. You're an unusual young man. And we fully expect you to be a millionaire one day.
