4-H TRAINS FUTURE LEADERS

For decades, 4-H clubs across the nation have provided opportunities for youngsters to participate in projects aimed at making communities and neighborhoods better places. In the process, youngsters developed ideals, skills and confidence that lasted into adulthood.

For the most part, 4-H has long been considered an organization for rural youths. In fact, however, 4-H has had a presence in cities and towns as well. There currently are 14 4-H clubs in Cape Girardeau County, and leaders would like to organize some more.

Most youngsters would certainly benefit from their involvement in 4-H, where the motto of "Learning by Doing" best describes the hands-on approach to activities that give youths the tools to become tomorrow's leaders.
