SIKESTON -- Zora Nichols, 62, of Sikeston died Wednesday, Feb. 12, 1997, at St. Louis University Hospital.
She was born March 10, 1934, in Sidon, Miss., daughter of Arizona and Nora Bell Williams Winters. She and the Rev. J.L. Nichols were married Nov. 10, 1952.
Nichols was a member of West End Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; seven sons, Johnnie Nichols Jr. of Killeen, Texas, John Nichols of Tacoma, Wash., Henry, Jerry and Charles Nichols of Sikeston, Emmanuel Nichols of Greenville, Miss., Carl Nichols of Indianapolis, Ind.; four daughters, Mary Nichols, Carlean Dial, Betty Nichols and Denise Robinson of Sikeston; a stepson, Jessie Nichols of Cleveland, Miss.
Other survivors include six brothers, Jack, Ray, Joseph, Jasper and Nora Winters, all of Chicago, Mathis Winters of Gary, Ind.; three sisters, Henrietta Davis of Sunflower, Miss., Caldonia Gibson and Ophelia Winters of Chicago; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at St. John the Baptist Church from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at West End Baptist Church, with the Rev. Flem E. Bronner Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Williams-Farr and Purnell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
