ADVANCE -- Zora Lea Dixon, 80, of Advance died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at her home.
She was born May 7, 1918, at Malden to Ed and Rosa Carter Perrigan.
She married John A. Dixon April 29, 1936, at Dexter. He died June 11, 1964.
She was a homemaker and had worked as a waitress for many years.
She was a member of Advance Baptist Church.
Survivors include five sons, Jim Dixon of St. Louis, Joe Dixon of Belton, Texas, Ted Dixon of Collinsville, and Johnie and Don Dixon, both of Sikeston; two daughters, Norma Davis of Advance and Linda Webster of Belleville, Ill.; a twin sister, Ora Hart of Advance; 25 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Three daughters and three brothers preceded her in death.
Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston.
Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the Rev. Kelley Grubbs of Murray Lane Baptist Church in Sikeston officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
