MARBLE HILL -- Zona Hahs, 78, of Marble Hill, died Sunday, April 30, 1995, at Bond Nursing Home.
She was born March 29, 1917, at Neelys Landing, daughter of Hiram and Julia Brown Craft. She and Grover Hahs were married Sept. 11, 1943.
Hahs was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church near Pocahontas 40 years. The family lived in Cape Girardeau 20 years where she was a member of Red Star Baptist Church. They moved to Marble Hill earlier this year and she became a member of New Salem Baptist Church.
She had worked at the Small Arms Plant in St. Louis during World War II.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Eddie Craft of Jackson; two daughters, Hazel Wilson of Jackson, Connie Russell of Marble Hill; three brothers, Phillip Craft of Hermosa Beach, Calif., Harland Craft of St. Ann, Junior Craft of Jackson; a sister, Essie Wyatt of St. Louis; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, two grandchildren, four brothers and five sisters.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Randy Poole officiating. Burial will be in New Bethel Church Cemetery.
