Zettie Mae Burton, 88, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, June 17, 2000, at Beverly Health and Rehabilitation in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on May 8, 1912, at Moreland, Ark., daughter of Jack and Tennie Burks Henderson.

She was a homemaker and later worked as a cook at Sands Pancake House in Cape Girardeau.

She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.

Survivors include two sons, Gene Burton of Cape Girardeau and John L. Burton of Tyler, Texas; two daughters, Dorothy Haupt of Cape Girardeau and Bonnie Bowers of Delta; two brothers, Harley Henderson of Russellville, Ark., and Harvey Henderson of Morrilton, Ark.; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.

Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel in Cape Girardeau and on Monday from 10 a.m. until time of service at Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Mark Martin officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
