COBDEN, Ill. -- Zelma Ica "Boss" Aldridge, 91, of Cobden died Thursday, Feb. 12, 1998, at her home.
She was born Feb. 17, 1906, in rural Cobden, daughter of William and Rebecca Caraker Lasley. She and John Aldridge were married May 14, 1927. He died in 1982.
Aldridge attended Walnut Grove and Anna United Methodist Churches.
Survivors include three daughters, Lovella Craig of Cobden, Janet Browning of Anna, Pat McNeill of Ashley; two sons, J.D. Aldridge of Cobden, Bill Aldridge of Berkeley, Calif.; two sisters, Mamie Cruse of Anna, Geraldine Minton of Cobden; a brother, Charles Lasley of Anna; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, three brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden from 4-8 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Richard Sullins officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Tabor Cemetery on the family farm.
