Zale Richard Puhlman, 63, of Jackson passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at his home.
He was born Feb. 15, 1941, in Sioux Falls, S.D., son of Richard Vernon and Evelyn Nora Barr Puhlman. He and Cheryl L. Wills were married Aug. 7, 1971, in Seattle, Wash.
Mr. Puhlman received his bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from South Dakota State University. He was employed by Hexcel Corp. of Pleasanton, Calif., as director of sales and marketing, retiring in 1999. He was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Lafayette, Calif.
He is survived by his wife, Cheryl of Jackson; his mother, Evelyn Puhlman of Watertown, S.D.; a son and daughter-in-law, David Richard and Suzanne Puhlman of San Ramon, Calif.; a daughter, Julie Christine Puhlman of Jackson; a sister and brother-in-law, Zada and Cliff Rafferty of Rapid City, S.D.; a grandson, James David Puhlman of San Ramon, Calif.; father-in-law Dr. T.D. Wills of Jackson; two brothers-in-law, Dr. James Wills of Jackson, Tom Wills of Farmington, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the University of California-San Francisco Cancer Research Center.
