Yvonne Burlbaugh, 63, of Scott City died Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Feb. 9, 1954, in Independence, Missouri, to Clyde Joseph and Marilyn "Byrl" Jones Cook. She and Conrad Burlbaugh were married Dec. 23, 1971.
Yvonne was an exceptional R.N. and worked for Southeast Hospital for 36 years.
She was a role model for the younger nurses.
She was a member of the Cape Girardeau Women's Bowling Association and VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 3127 of Chaffee, Missouri. Yvonne was an avid bowler and loved the St. Louis Cardinals.
Yvonne's greatest joy was her grandson, Dakota. She will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Conrad Burlbaugh of Scott City; son, Brian Burlbaugh of Scott City; daughter, Melissa Smith of Scott City; grandson, Dakota Smith; brother Mike (Julie) Cook of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin; and three sisters, Denise (Larry) Gibbs of Scott City, Becky (Ben) Barton of Terre Du Lac, Missouri, and Teresa Skinner of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Mark Cook; and infant sister, Renee Cook.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.
