YULA MAHONEY

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Yula Mahoney, 92, of Eden Prairie, Minn., formerly of Mounds, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1996, at Presbyterian Home of Minnesota in Arden Hills.

She was born Aug. 20, 1903, at Neelys Landing, Mo. She married Ray Mahoney, who died in 1947.

Mahoney was librarian at Mounds Public Library many years, and had worked at Maxine's in Cairo. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pulaski-Alexander Home Extension and American Legion Auxiliary 178. She was a past president of Mounds Women's Club and Mounds Business and Professional Women.

Survivors include a daughter, Daisy Dille of Eden Prairie; a son, James Mahoney of McDonough, Ga.; four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Immanuel Church in Cairo, with the Rev. William O. Voss officiating. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery at Mounds.

Friends may call Saturday at the church from noon to service time.
