Funeral for Wray Harrison Whitener of Cape Girardeau will be held at 1 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gary Belcher will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the chapel after 10 a.m.
Whitener, 85, died Sunday, May 14, 2000, at Fountainbleau Lodge.
He was born July 8, 1914, in Cape Girardeau, son of William H. and Jennie E. Wray Whitener. He and Irene M. Crader were married April 8, 1939. She died May 18, 1999.
Whitener retired as a lineman with Sichs Electric. He was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church, and IBEW Local 2.
Survivors include a brother, Harry Whitener of Onaway, Mich.; two sisters, Betty Whitener of Wright City and Wilma Below of Advance.
He was preceded in death by three sons, two brothers, and a sister.
