PERRYVILLE -- Woodrow "Woody" Knox, 84, of Perryville died Thursday, May 13, 1999, at Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Sept. 18, 1914, at Oak Ridge, son of Bert B. and Clara Belle Tacke Knox.
Knox retired from the U.S. Geological Survey in Jefferson City. He had also farmed in Perry and Cape Girardeau counties.
He was a graduate of Perryville High School. He was a lifetime member of York Chapel Methodist Church near Longtown, Antique Car Collectors, and past member of American Legion Post 133. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two sisters, Kathryne Conrad of Sikeston and Imogene Hermeyer of Memphis, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by a sister.
Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-8 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until service time.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Brazeau Presbyterian Cemetery.
