WOODROW BURLISON

WARDELL -- Woodrow W. Burlison, 79, died Thursday, Dec. 5, 1996 at his home in Wardell.

He was born Jan. 6, 1917 in Hornersville, the son of the late J.I. and Lillie Jane Marler Burlison. He married Donnie Lee Long on Aug. 16, 1939. She preceded him in death Oct. 18, 1980. He married Peggy Foster on Dec. 27, 1982. She survives.

Burlison was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wardell.

He is survived a son, Johnny Michael Burlison of Wardell; two daughters: Mary Jane Bynum of Vero Beach, Fla., and Ruth Ann Gill of Memphis, Tenn.; a brother, Bill D. Burlison of Odenton, Md.; a sister, Ruth Meadows of Cape girardeau; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville. Funeral service will be Sunday at 2:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Wardell with the Rev. Kevin Carter officiating.

Burial will follow in Dunklin County Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
