EAST PRAIRIE, Mo. -- C. Wolffe Bagby, 66, of East Prairie died Sunday, Aug. 25, 2019, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Missouri.
He was born July 2, 1953, at St. Mary's Hospital in Cairo, Illinois, to the late A. Dean and Margaret Berbling Bagby. On Aug. 11, 2001, he married Shirley Jo "Joey" Quertermous, who survives.
He grew up in Cairo, attending St. Patrick Catholic Church and was a 1971 graduate of St. Mary High School in Paducah, Kentucky. Wolffe went on to attend the University of Missouri at Rolla, where he majored in civil engineering, and later attended Clemson University at Clemson, South Carolina, where he received his Master of Business Administration.
For a number of years, Wolffe lived in South Carolina and returned to Cairo in 1998. He then moved to East Prairie, where he made his home with his wife, Joey. He was employed at Southeast Correctional Center in Charleston, Missouri.
He attended St. Henry Catholic Church. He was an avid golfer and Kentucky Wildcat fan.
Also surviving are his children, Marc (Lisa) Bagby of Honolulu, Raelen Bagby of Spartanburg, South Carolina, and Conn (Miranda) Davis of Plano, Texas; sister, Deana (Billy) Pecord of Thebes, Illinois; four grandchildren, Antony Bagby, Jaelyn Bagby-Gentry, Annette Davis and Alexander Davis; and nephew, W. Lucas (Addie) Pecord.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., Wednesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Missouri.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Henry Catholic Church in Charleston, with the Rev. David Dohogne as celebrant. Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge, Illinois.
Pallbearers will be Conn Davis, Lucas Pecord, David Williams, Tony Naas, Joe Oliver and Chuck Leible.
