PATTON, Mo. — Winnie Pearl Blevins, 85, of Lady Lake, Fla., formerly of Patton and Morehouse, Mo., died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at the home of a daughter in Lady Lake.
She was born May 28, 1923, in Nashville, Tenn., daughter of Sandy Jackson and Jane Jacques Brown. She and James S. Blevins were married Sept. 17, 1938. He died March 2, 1999.
Blevins was a member of Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jackson.
Survivors include two sons, Don W. and Rosi Blevins of Holly, Mich., James V. Blevins of Clarkston, Mich.; five daughters, Sue and Maynard Holmes and Bonnie and Butch Stroud of The Villages, Fla., Darlene and James Steele of Summerfield, Fla., Brenda and John Schultz of Port Richey, Fla., Barbara Kay and Charlie Wallace of Warren, Mich.; a sister, Jo Esther Williams of Sikeston, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Liley Funeral Home in Patton and after 10 a.m. Thursday at Calvary United Pentecostal Church in Jackson.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Ronnie Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Reagan's Chapel Cemetery near Patton.
