WINIFRED HAMMOCK

MOREHOUSE, Mo. -- Winifred E. "Wink" Hammock, 78, of Morehouse died Wednesday, July 5, 2000, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born May 20, 1922, at Big Ridge, daughter of George and Bessie Gray Turner. She and Donald E. Hammock Sr. were married Dec. 13, 1941, at Matthews.

Hammock was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, David Hammock of Plano, Texas; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two daughters, two brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Revs. Don Slatton and Dewayne Coleman officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery at Sikeston.
