Wilson Joe "Bill" Mungle, 77, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, April 26, 2015, at Landmark Hospital.
He was born Aug. 30, 1937, in Cape Girardeau, to Joe and Daisy Bowman Mungle. He and Norma Crites were married Jan. 1, 1966, in Cape Girardeau.
Bill was a self-employed carpenter and owned and operated Red Star Construction. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Norma Mungle, son, Shannon Mungle (special friend, Michelle Dietrich), and daughter, Carla (Troy Jr.) Jones, all of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, James (Janet) Mungle and Harold Mungle of Cape Girardeau; a stepbrother, Eric (Jamie) Probst of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Carol (Wayne) Staten of Panama City, Florida, Wanda (Cecil Jr.) Dorris of Oak Ridge and Janet Ackman of Jackson; a stepsister, Viola Baker of Cape Girardeau; eight grandchildren; six stepgrandchilden; 16 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ronald Sloan Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Post Oak Cemetery in Patton, Missouri.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
