Wilmer Miesner

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Wilmer E. Miesner, 78, of Perryville died Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 22, 1925, in Perry County, son of Henry J. and Engel M. Verseman Miesner. He first married Lorene Weinhold Sept. 12, 1948. She died April 23, 1978. He and Anna Schultz were married May 16, 1981.

Miesner was formerly co-owner of Farrar Garage, and was a bus driver for Meyer Bus Line 16 years. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church at Farrar.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Nancy Reisenbichler of Perryville; two sons, Roger Miesner of O'Fallon, Ill., David Miesner of Perryville; two stepdaughters, Renee Sucharski of Hillsboro, Mo., Lucina Rouggly of Festus, Mo.; two stepsons, William Manson Jr. of St. Louis, Van Manson of Chesapeake, Va.; a brother, Walter Miesner of Farrar, Mo.; a sister, Violet Kassel of Farrar; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Salem Lutheran Church. The Rev. Michael Meraz will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
