Wilmer Lueders

FROHNA, Mo. -- Wilmer Arthur Lueders, 99, of Frohna died Sunday, April 2, 2017, at Independence Care Center of Perry County, Missouri.

He was born July 15, 1917, in Frohna, son of Arthur and Hulda (Poppitz) Lueders. He and Marie Kranawetter were married on Aug. 4, 1946, for 70 years. She survives in Perryville.

Wilmer was a retired farmer/carpenter. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna, Concordia Men's Club and held various offices in the church.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter, Darrel (Elaine) Lueders and Karen (Larry) Fritsche, both of Evansville, Indiana, and Doyle (Donna) Lueders of Frohna; seven grandchildren, Jennifer (Kyle) Bosse, Heather (Landen) Yeager, Amanda (Jacob) Metz, Alex (Casey) Lueders, Samuel (Stephanie) Lueders, Daniel (Alex) Lueders and Lauren (Jeff) Walz, and nine great-grandchildren, Jacob, Jordan and Allison Bosse, Evelyn and Isaac Yeager, Lennon Metz, Lola and Lucy Walz and Jaxon Lueders. He is also survived by numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Edmund, Eldor and Arthur (Sonny) Lueders.

Visitation will be held at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg, Missouri, on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m., and on Thursday from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Funeral service will be held at Concordia Lutheran Church in Frohna on Thursday at 10 a.m., with the Rev. Rod Benkendorf officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Concordia Lutheran Church or Saxony Lutheran High School.
