SIKESTON, Mo. -- Wilma I. Smith, 78, of Sikeston died Thursday, May 19, 2005, at her home.
She was born Jan. 13, 1927, in Canalou, Mo., daughter of John D. and Crissie Shoulders Barnes. She and B.J. "Jack" Smith were married May 18, 1946, in Canalou. He died June 24, 1998.
Smith was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jack Smith of Sikeston; a daughter, Crissie Pyland of Sikeston; a brother, Gene Barnes of New Madrid, Mo.; two sisters, Louise Shock of Gideon, Mo., Pat Adams of Bloomington, Ill.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Joe McCullough officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
