She was born March 2, 1928, in Craighead County, Arkansas, to the late Arthur and Lydia Ann Winn Johnston on a little farm in a community called Goobertown. She was the eighth of 12 children. Wilma married Robert Lee Ogles on Aug. 5, 1950. They were married for 62 years until his death in 2012.

She was a 50-year resident of Cape Girardeau and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church. She loved cooking, gardening and traveling. She was a gifted seamstress and loved to play games. Her quick wit will be much missed. Her passion, though, was her family. They were the absolute light of her life.

(Julie) Ogles of Cape Girardeau, Richard L. (Amy) Ogles of Rogersville, Missouri, Matthew R. (Ashley) Ogles of Pelham, Alabama, and Andrew B. Ogles of Providence, Rhode Island; great-grandchildren, Chapman L. and Caroline M. Ogles of Cape Girardeau, Caden L. and Avery Lynn Ogles of Rogersville and Grayson M. Ogles of Pelham; and brothers, J. Edward Johnston of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Benny C. Johnston of Des Peres, Missouri. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
