Wilma K. Kinder, 98, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center. She was born March 31, 1915, in Marble Hill, Mo., to Sylvester and Leah Kinder Slinkard. Wilma K. Kinder, 98, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Chateau Girardeau Health Center.

She was born March 31, 1915, in Marble Hill, Mo., to Sylvester and Leah Kinder Slinkard. She married Robert Wesley Kirkpatrick, who preceded her in death in 1957. She later married Paul B. Kinder. He preceded her in death in 2003.

She most recently was a member of Roswell United Methodist Church in Roswell, Ga.

Survivors include three sons, Ronald Wesley (Sandra) Kirkpatrick of Greenville, Mo., James Francis Kirkpatrick of Sarasota, Fla., and Stephen Mark (Karen) Kirkpatrick of Marietta, Ga.; five grandchildren, Matthew Kirkpatrick of Highland, Ill., Kelly Kirkpatrick of Greenville, Shawn Kirkpatrick of Glenallen, Mo., Rob Kirkpatrick of Franklin, Tenn., and Cynthia Lewis of Ballwin, Mo.; and five great-grandchildren, Brett Kirkpatrick, Jacob Kirkpatrick, Robbie Kirkpatrick, Lauren Lewis and Jason Lewis.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; and a son, Robert Sheridan Kirkpatrick.

Her gift of gab, gracious generosity and a wonderful sense of humor kept her young at heart and endeared her to so many. We love her very deeply.

A private graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Cape County Memorial Park, with the Rev. David Conley officiating.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the Residents Council Christmas Fund, in care of Chateau Girardeau, 3120 Independence St., Cape Girardeau, MO 63703.
