BELKNAP, Ill. -- Wilma Rose Huckelberry, 85, of Belknap died Friday, Sept. 17, 1999, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.
She was born Dec. 3, 1913, at Belknap, the daughter of Joe and Beulah Morgan Tapley Crawford. She married John Ralph Huckelberry, who preceded her in death in 1991.
Affectionately known as Hanner, she was a midwife and for 23 years worked as a nurse at Massac Memorial Hospital. She was active in the Modern Woodmen of America.
She is survived by three daughters, Martha June Burnam of Vienna, Patricia Ruth Huckelberry of Belknap and Janice Lee Wright of Karnak; two sons, Johnny Dee Huckelberry of Vienna and Floyd Eugene Huckelberry of Belknap; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak, with the Revs. Alvin Thomas and Steve Lindsey officiating.
Burial will be at the Belknap Masonic Cemetery.
