Wilma O. Ford, 88, of Chaffee, died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2006, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born June 10, 1918, in Randles, Mo., daughter of John and Eunice Scamahorn Groseclose. She and Keith Ford were married on Nov. 24, 1939, in Benton. He died on May 11, 1987.
Ford taught grade school at Whitewater for several years, and at Chaffee public schools. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Jim Ford of Festus, Mo.; a brother, J.W. Groseclose of Chaffee; a sister, Melba Hutson of San Diego, Calif.; three grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Marty Blakey and Rev. Donny Ford officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
