CHAFFEE -- Wilma Elizabeth Howell, 70, Chaffee Route 2, died Monday, April 6, 1992, at her home.
She was born April 5, 1922, at Perkins, daughter of Otto and Amelia Gibbs Jennings. She married Leo Howell Feb. 16, 1940. He died July 20, 1985.
Howell was a member of the General Baptist Church here and Sunday School teacher many yeas, and member of Morley Chapter Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include a son, Terry Howell, Cape Girardeau Route 2; a brother, Joe Jennings of Little Rock, Ark.; a half brother, A.V. Jennings of Saudi Arabia; a stepbrother, Otis McCray of California; three sisters, Vivian Turner of Rosemead, Calif., Allie Hampton of Rockview, Alice Dopp of Advance; three grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee. The Rev. Joe Payne will officiate, with burial in Lightner Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today.
