TAMMS, Ill. -- Wilma Margaret Dodd Bridges, 79, of Tamms passed away Thursday, May 19, 2011, at her home.
She was born May 16, 1932, at Granite City, Ill., daughter of the late Raphael Gray "Jack" and Myrtha Clyde Brasher Dodd.
Wilma was a member of Elco Baptist Church, WMU Training Group, Sunday school class, and Cub Scout leader. She was a retired truck driver with Sam Tankley Ohio Pacific Trucking Co., and was a former telephone receptionist for Jones Funeral Homes at Tamms and Villa Ridge, Ill.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leonard Bridges; and two grandsons, Shawn and Michael Jason Bridges.
Survivors include two sons, Eddie Bridges and family of Fredericktown, Mo., Jackie Bridges and family of Tamms; and a sister, Imogene Dodson and family of Indianapolis.
Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Buddy Walls officiating. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery near Dongola, Ill.
