Wilma Laverne Allmon, 82, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at The Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born March 8, 1928, in Advance, Mo., to James and Mattie Nothdurft Dunning. She and Claude Allmon were married Sunday, April 18, 1948, in Delta.
Wilma was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary and the Eastern Star Chapter 174. She was also a member of Red Star Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Dennis Allmon of Cape Girardeau; sister, Etheleen "Babe" Crider of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Kristy Nordin of Cape Girardeau, the Rev. Jason Allmon of Bainbridge, Ind.; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother and a son.
A memorial service will be at 5 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Jason Allmon officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to Alzheimer's Association, 9374 Olive St. Road, St. Louis, MO 63132.
