Willis (Bill) Andrew Springer Sr., 76, of 215 N. Sunset Blvd. died Dec. 28, 1992, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born to James Cuba and Mary Sandifur Wilkins in Pleasonton, Texas, on Feb. 18, 1916. He married Betty Hallenbeck on Aug. 24, 1940, in Puerto Barrios, Guatemala.
He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, a Third Degree Mason, and belonged to the Masonic Lodge F&AM No. 20 in Jackson, Miss.
Survivors include his wife; one son, Willis A. Springer Jr. of Cape Girardeau; four brothers, Conrad Springer of Danville, Calif., Joy Springer of Dallas, Texas, Franz Springer of Albuquerque, N.M., and Karl Springer of San Antonio, Texas; and one grandchild.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Memorial Park Mausoleum, with the Rev. Robert Horel and the Rev. Charles Grant officiating.
