SIKESTON, Mo. -- Willie Etta Walton, 74, of Sikeston died Monday, Dec. 11, 2000, at the Three Rivers Health Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo.
She was born Sept. 20, 1926, in Oran, Mo., the daughter of Will and Mary Tate Pipkins. She married Eddie Walton Sr. on Nov. 21, 1942. He survives.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She is survived by four sons, Eddie Walton Jr. of Chicago, Lonnie Walton of St. Charles, Mo., Vernell Walton of St. Louis, and David Walton of New Madrid, Mo.; five daughters, Wilma Jean Ward of Florissant, Mo., Joanna Blue of Jackson, Mo., Diane Walton of University City, Mo., and Marie Walton and Louise McGhee, both of Sikeston; a sister, Catherine Henry; five brothers, Fonnie Pipkins, James Randall Pipkins, Percy Pipkins, James William Pipkins and John Andy Pipkins, all of Chicago; 25 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Cornerstone Church in Sikeston.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Willie Hedspeth of the Bowman Street Church of Christ in Sikeston officiating.
Burial will be at Sikeston Memorial Park.
