GRASSY, Mo. -- Willie Bill Rutherford, 81, of Grassy died at his home Thursday, March 25, 2004.
Rutherford was born in Pryor, Okla., on Dec. 20,1922. He worked for Florscheim Shoe Co.
He was a disabled veteran of World War II and Korea, having served in the U.S. Army infantry.
He married Dorothy L. Haynes on Dec. 22,1952, in Jackson. She died Jan. 16, 1992.
Survivors include his children, Sue May, Douglas and Annie Rutherford, all of Grassy, Donnie and Rodney Rutherford, both of Walnut Ridge, Ark., Darrol Rutherford of Pacfiic, Mo., Willie Rutherford of St. Louis; two brothers, Burl Rutherford of Wichita, Kan., Doyle Rutherford of Corpus Christi, Texas; two sisters, June Rutherford of British Columbia, Canada, Mary Lou Rutherford of New York; 18 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Hutchings Funeral Chapel in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. Keith Price officiating. Burial will be in Haynes Chapel Cemetery in Burfordville, Mo.
