CHARLESTON -- Willie L. Pettigrew, 92, of Charleston, died Monday, Feb. 8, 1993, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
She was born Aug. 2, 1900, at Wolf Island, daughter of William H. and Ada Taylor Bowden.
Pettigrew was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and its Mother's Board, and member of Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include 11 grandchildren, Melvyn Smith of Jefferson City, Cecil Smith, Gretchen Hayes, Sola Hamilton, Travis Smith, Freddie Sanders, Ronnie Pettigrew, Aleshia Pettigrew, Ossie Stevenson, Richard Pettigrew, all of St. Louis, and Norman Moore of Toledo, Ohio; 35 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, five sons, five brothers and a sister.
Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Church. The Revs. Robert James and Rudolph Alexander will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call at Sparks Funeral Home from 7-8 p.m. today.
