JACKSON -- Willie Hanselmann, 81, of Route 1 Jackson died Sunday, June 19, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Aug. 16, 1912, near Fruitland, the son of August H. and Annie Nagel Hanselmann. On Oct. 1, 1939, he married Edna Renne, who preceded him in death Aug. 16, 1981.
Survivors include a son, Harold Hanselmann of Jackson, a brother, Alvin Hanselmann of Jackson, a sister, Alma Clinging Smith, of Jackson, and three grandchildren.
Hanselmann was a life-long farmer. He also was a member of the St. John's United Church of Christ, where he held various church offices. He was a former member of the Cape County Shipping Association. He also was a member of the Farm Bureau, the Cape County Pork Producers, and the SEMO Cattleman's Association.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John's United Church of Christ. The Rev. Dave Schaffner will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
