CHARLESTON -- William Wills Sr., 87, of Charleston, died at 8:20 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6, 1993, in St., Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 28, 1906, at Menfro, son of Henry and Marie Gremaud Wills.

In November 1928, he married Alma Bone, who died June 29, 1970.

He lived in Scott and Mississippi counties most of his life. He was a farmer and a carpenter.

Wills was a member of St. Henry's Catholic Parish in Charleston and the Knights of Columbus.

Survivors are sons, William Wills Jr., Sikeston, and Michael Wills, Jacksonville, Ark.; daughters, Lois Marie Drury, Kelso, and Doris Ressel, Oran; a sister, Verba Smeltzer, Florissant; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

Six brothers, three sisters and a grandson also preceded him in death,.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. today at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where a prayer service will be held at 5 p.m. today.

Funeral Mass will be conducted Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Henry's Catholic Church by the Rev. James Reynolds, pastor. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery near Charleston.
