William Norman Summers, 78, East Prairie, died Friday, June 24, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born April 25, 1916 in Marion, Ill., son of Norman Oliver and Georgia Heneger Summers.
He married Mary Josephine Bond on Sept. 6, 1940. She preceded him in death Aug. 20, 1985.
He was a retired maintenance engineer. He was a member of First Church of God at East Prairie.
Survivors include a daughter, Anita Baines, East Prairie; sons, Eli Joseph Summers, Chevy Chase, Md., and Donald Edwind Summers; sisters, Velma Hill, Sikeston, Dorothy Ford and Anna Duley, both of Randals, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter and four brothers.
A memorial service will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the First Church of God in East Prairie, with the Rev. Larry Smith, pastor of the church, officiating.
Friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday at the church.
