William C. Stubbs, 68, of Anna died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at his home. He was born April 16, 1934, at Elm River, Ill., son of William and Lula Fitch Stubbs. He and Eleanora Taormina were married Dec. 16, 1961, in Elgin, Ill. She died July 30, 1992...

William C. Stubbs, 68, of Anna died Sunday, March 23, 2003, at his home.

He was born April 16, 1934, at Elm River, Ill., son of William and Lula Fitch Stubbs. He and Eleanora Taormina were married Dec. 16, 1961, in Elgin, Ill. She died July 30, 1992.

Stubbs was a member and past master of Jonesboro Masonic Lodge 111, Eastern Star, was a Shriner, and 32nd Degree Mason.

He was a veteran of the Korean War.

Survivors include three daughters, Becky Winn of San Diego, Calif., Trudi Hunter of Anna, Janet Cotham of Winchester, Tenn.; two sons, Bill Stubbs of Celestine, Ind., Tom Stubbs of McKinney, Texas; three sisters, June Evans of Cheyenne, Wyo., Darlene Kenneth of Athens, Texas, Joann Sisson of Rockwall, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, three sisters, and a granddaughter.

Friends may call at Hileman and Parr Funeral Home in Jonesboro from 5 to 8:30 p.m. today. Masonic rites will be conducted at 7.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with Guy Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery, with graveside rites by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455.
