William "Bill" Raymond Smith, 83, of Scott City was born July 29, 1940, in Grand Island, Nebraska, to William Russell and Edna Kathleen Fewson Smith. He married Margaret Anne Smith on May 26, 1962, in San Diego, and she preceded him in death on July 13, 2011.
He worked for United Airlines as an airline agent. He was an avid traveler and enjoyed it most with his wife and children. He loved nature, his dogs and his family immensely. During his passing, he was surrounded by his family and left this world peacefully.
He is survived by a son, William Scott (Lisa) Smith of Scott City; a daughter, Tracy Anne Malone of Scott City; six grandchildren, William Randall (Kati) Smith, Benjamin Garrett (Bailey) Smith, Jacob Andrew (Raimie) Smith, Kathleen Anne Marie (Katherine) Taylor, Jo D. Parker and William Anthony (Grace) Smith; and four great-grandchildren, William Owen Smith, Liam Joseph Taylor, Emmalyn Jade Smith and Amelia Anne Smith.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and five sisters.
