William Curtis "Red" Palmer, 56, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015, at Southeast Hospital.
He was born Jan. 31, 1959, in Kankakee, Illinois, to Curtis Lorain Palmer and Dora Allen Apodoca.
He attended the Northside Church of God in Cape Girardeau. Red had been a roofer by trade.
Survivors include his mother, Dora Apodoca, of Phoenix; fiancee Kathy Fowler of Cape Girardeau; a son, James Parkhill Jr. of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Debbie (Chris) Crawford of Cape Girardeau and Ruby (Jeff) Basinger of Cape Girardeau; four brothers; five sisters; five grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Sprigg Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Winferd Wren officiating. Burial will be at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family for funeral expenses.
