PERRYVILLE -- William C. Pohlman, 73, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, at his home. He was born Dec. 11, 1926, at Hilderbrand, son of Henry and Amelia Dambach Pohlman. PERRYVILLE -- William C. Pohlman, 73, of Perryville died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2000, at his home.

He was born Dec. 11, 1926, at Hilderbrand, son of Henry and Amelia Dambach Pohlman. He and Verna Bangert were married Jan. 25, 1948.

Pohlman was a former backhoe operator with Giesler Concrete. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and American Legion Post 133.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Weber of Altenburg; two brothers, Alfred Pohlman of Sedgewickville, Edward Pohlman of Perryville; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday after 8 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Craig Otto officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Church Cemetery.
