ST. LOUIS -- William "Bill" G. Peukert , 76, passed on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, at John Cochran VA Hospital in St. Louis.
He was born to Norman and Bernice (Chambers) Peukert on June 2, 1942, in St. Louis.
Bill graduated from Webster Groves High School in 1960 and went on to attend St. Andrews Presbyterian College. He served in the U.S. Army 188th Transportation Helicopter Company 3rd Division from 1962 to 1964.
He graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in 1967. He went on to a 30-year career in medical device marketing and sales.
He was preceded in death by both his parents.
Survivors include his eldest son, William "Lou" Peukert, and grandson, Cody, of Cape Girardeau; younger son, John Peukert and wife, Jule (Hagan) Peukert, and grandson, Felix, all of Sagamihara, Japan; sister, Carol Schultz of Redondo Beach, California; brother, James "Jim" Peukert of Chiang, Thailand; aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, friends and caregivers.
A celebration of life memorial will be held at the Ethical Society of St. Louis at 11 a.m. on Friday, followed by internment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery at 1 p.m.
