COBDEN, Ill. -- Funeral for William Edward Patrick O'Meara Jr. of Cobden will be held at 1 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna. The Rev. Jim Peterson will officiate.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time.

O'Meara, 44, died Monday, May 1, 2000, at his home.

He was born Aug. 3, 1955, in Waukegan, son of William Edward Patrick and Virginia Smith O'Meara Sr. He and Frankie Marlene Sims were married Oct. 3, 1995, at Grand Tower.

O'Meara was a member of the Church of God Worship Center.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Alice Brown of Cobden; his mother, Virginia "Ginger" Dobbs of Rusk, Texas; his father and stepmother, William and Patsy O'Meara of North Cicero; two sisters, Sherry Armbrust of Quinnesec, Mich., Robin Rogoni of Kingsford, Mich.; a brother, Scott O'Meara of Houston, Texas; a half brother, Sean Franklin of Florence, Wis.; a half sister, Michelle; and five grandchildren.
