William "Billy" Niswonger, 55, of Marquand, Mo., passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 10, 1958, in Cape Girardeau, son of Rusby D. and Ilene Welker Niswonger. He married Renita Crittenden in Camilla, Ga.

Billy attended Jackson High School. He moved to Georgia and worked at a cotton gin and grain company. He returned to Missouri in 2001 and worked for the Jackson School District in the custodial/maintenance department. He worked for Dutch Enterprises in Jackson as a commercial electrician in plumbing, heating and air conditioning until being disabled in 2008. He was a member of Westview Masonic Lodge 103 in Millersville and was of the Pentecostal belief.

Loving survivors include his wife, Renita of Marquand; his parents, Rusby and Ilene Niswonger of Jackson; a brother, Paul (Beverly) Niswonger of Jackson; a sister, Mary (Charles) Holtzclaw of McClure, Ill.; three stepchildren, Christopher Crittenden and Buck Pearson of Moultrie, Ga., and Crystal Pearson of Albany, Ga.; and four grandchildren.

The funeral was held Nov. 1 at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson. The Rev. Stephen Niswonger officiated.

Cremation was accorded by McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
