EAST PRAIRIE, Mo.--William A. "Toots" Moore, 89, of East Prairie died Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005, at East Praire Nursing Center.
He was born Oct. 30, 1915, in Caruthersville, Mo., son of William A. and Pearl Michie Moore. He and Rudell Wilson were married Dec. 13, 1937. She died Dec. 1, 1990.
Moore lived most of his life in Mississippi County, where he was a retired farmer and rental proprietor.
Survivors include a son, Ronnie Moore of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; two daughters, Geraldine Wilson of East Prairie, Helen Kefauver of Cape Girardeau; eight sisters, Genevieve Decker of Dunnellon, Fla., Alice Stallings of Crystal City, Mo., Leatha Roberts of Pevely, Mo., Georgia Kemp, Laura Russell, Patsy Thomas, Willie B. Norman and Agnes Walker, all of East Prairie; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and a sister.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with Larry Smith officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
