TAMMS, Ill. -- William George McDaniel Sr., 65, of Tamms, formerly of Kalamazoo, Mich., died Saturday, June 24, 1995, at the Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.
He was born June 18, 1930, in Oil City, Pa., the son of Oliver William and Lula Alice Ellis McDaniel Sr.
McDaniel was an Army veteran and former employee of the Kalamazoo Bus Line Co. He was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Hulet McDaniel; three daughters, Karen Marie McDaniel of Kalamazoo, Desiree McDaniel of Akron, Ohio, and Debra Lynn McDaniel of Lansing, Mich.; a son, William George McDaniel II of Kalamazoo; four sisters, Ruth Daniels and Naoma Anderson of Dayton, Ohio, Mary Lifton of Chicago and Jennie Killings of Erie, Pa.; two brothers, Oliver W. McDaniel of Cleveland, Ohio, and James Edward McDaniel of Dayton, Ohio; and 14 grandchildren.
Friends may call after 10 a.m. Friday at the Jones Funeral Home in Tamms.
A graveside funeral service will be at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the National Cemetery in Mound City, Ill.
