William "Bill" Henry McCullough, 88, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, Oct. 31, 2020, at Capetown Arbors Assisted Living in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 13, 1932, in Greenbriar, Missouri, son of "Dudley" Hugh and Ida "Fern" Miller McCullough.

Bill enlisted in the U.S. Army Dec. 3, 1952, and was honorably discharged Oct. 27, 1954. He worked as a farmer alongside his brother, Shannon, and from 1962-2010 he owned and operated Bill's Repair.

Loving survivors include a brother, Shannon (Karen) McCullough of Jackson, and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his life companion, Evelyn Probst; five sisters, Rosalie Abernathy, Glenda Cameron, LaVeda Stepp, Geraldine Moore and Beulah Hardesty; three brothers, Lyndell, Leon and Don McCullough; and his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jimmie Corbin officiating.

Interment with military honors will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

The family suggests contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
