VILLA RIDGE, Ill. -- William Melvin Malone Sr., 69, of Villa Ridge died Saturday, Nov. 11, 2000, at his home.
He was born Sept. 7, 1931, in Wolf Lake, Ill., son of Edward and Josephine Kimel Malone. He and Iva Lee were married Oct. 21, 1950.
He was the owner of Melvin Malone Auto Sales retiring after 48 years in automobile sales.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, William Malone Jr. of Martin, Tenn., Mike Malone of Cooksville, Tenn., Eddie Malone of Villa Ridge, Larry Malone of Jonesboro, Ill.; two daughters, Terri Clifford and Janet Casper, both of Villa Ridge; a sister, Wilma Powless of Alton, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday at Jones Funeral Home in Villa Ridge.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Green Lawn Memorial Gardens.
