William Ralph LeGrand, 80, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at Missouri Veterans Home.
He was born Feb. 14, 1930, in Oran, Mo., to William and Lucy Helen Grojean LeGrand. He married Ruby Jacobs Graff in January 1955.
LeGrand was chief engineer for Cargill Inc. and a member of Teamsters Union in St. Louis.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Korean conflict.
Survivors include two sons, Bill (Bonnie) LeGrand of Kelso, Mo., and Jerry (Roberta) LeGrand of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Jackie (Mark) Majoros of Cape Girardeau; four stepdaughters, Charlotte (Dale) Mosley of Florence, Ky., Celia (Bob) Graff Bradley of Lexington, Ky., Elaine (Jim) Fetter of Nicholasville, Ky., Charlene (Jerry) Bell of Benton, Mo.; a brother, Emil LeGrand of Sikeston, Mo.; 18 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and six sisters.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Benton.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. Michael Casteel as celebrant.
