MATTHEWS -- William Lee Armstrong, 86, Matthews Route 1, died Tuesday, Nov. 22, 1994, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Oct. 12, 1908, in Beach Bluff, Tenn., son of Joe and Cora Emmaline Crowder Armstrong. He and Sallie Ophelia Johnson were married Aug. 22, 1927. She died Nov. 13, 1982.
Armstrong was retired from Ralston-Purina Co.
Survivors include a son, Bud Armstrong of Matthews; five daughters, Emma Jackson of Matthews, Ruth Dickinson of Bardwell, Ky., Nancy Keene of Wisner, La., Judy Carden of Wetumpka, Ala., Joyce Landers of Sikeston; two brothers, Delmer and Horace Armstrong of Jackson, Tenn.; a sister, Bertha Hairston of Jackson, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren, and 23 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie after 5 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. D.R. Heitmen officiating. Burial will be in East Prairie Memorial Park.
