CAIRO, Ill. -- William J. Dean, 37, of Cairo, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 1994, at his home.

He was born Dec. 31, 1956, in Cairo, son of William Homer and Edith Haney Dean.

Dean was employed by Daystar Community Program, and was a former fireman here. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include his wife, Cathy; a sister, Mari Burnett of Paducah, Ky., and grandfather, Elisa Haney of Vienna.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Cairo after 5 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jerome Fortenberry officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
