William David Horsley, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at home. He was born Jan. 3, 1938, in Breckenridge, Ky. son of Loe B. and Alian Board Horsley. He and Opal Marie Grah Bridges were married Sept. 7, 1979, in Scott City. Horsley worked more than 20 years as a captain/pilot for Inland Oil Co. and Tolen Barge Co. William David Horsley, 69, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, April 5, 2007, at home.

He was born Jan. 3, 1938, in Breckenridge, Ky. son of Loe B. and Alian Board Horsley. He and Opal Marie Grah Bridges were married Sept. 7, 1979, in Scott City.

Horsley worked more than 20 years as a captain/pilot for Inland Oil Co. and Tolen Barge Co. He retired in 1994 due to health reasons. He was a member of Moose Lodge.

Survivors include his wife of Cape Girardeau; two sons, David Horsley of Hardinsburg, Ky., Toney Horsley of Webster, Ky.; three daughters, Patricia Stillwell of Horned, Ky., Tammy Blandford of Beaver Dam, Ky., Donna Smith of Sample, Ky.; two stepsons, Dan Bridges of Jackson, Tom Bridges of Town and Country, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Ann Hollenberg of Florissant, Mo.; three brothers, Omar Horsley of Brandenburg, Ky., James Horsley of Cloverport, Ky., George Horsley of Sample, Ky.; two sisters, Revil Roettger of Tell City, Ind., Isabell Goodman of Inverness, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

There will be no visitation or funeral.

Ford and Sons Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
