William "Harry" Matlock, 74, of Millersville died Friday, Oct. 14, 2016, at his home.
He was born Aug. 18, 1942, in Cape Girardeau to Rollie and Gladys Marie Kaufman Matlock. He married Linda Louise Held on March 24, 1964, in Gorham, Illinois.
Harry was chief engineer for Marquette River Transportation. He was a member of Father's Arms Fellowship and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by two sons, William H. "Bill" Matlock Jr. of Millersville and Ronnie (Joy) Matlock of Hesperia, Michigan; three daughters, Deanna Baine, Sommer (Andrew Warnecke) Gerber and Brittany Gerber of Millersville; a sister, Alice (Larry) Kerr of Bastrop, Texas; nine grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and a great-granddaughter, Kylea Gerber.
Visitation will be from noon until the time of service at 1 p.m. Monday at Father's Arms Fellowship in Scott City, with the Rev. Kenny Strong officiating. Burial will be in Lindsey Cemetery in McClure, Illinois.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be given to the funeral chapel to assist with expenses.
